Director Robert Rodriguez leaked a shot over the weekend of his next movie, Sin City: A Dame to Kill on Twitter. The images of production in progress have been recirculated by many outlets throughout the week and has much of the Frank Miller’s Sin City fan base excited.
According to USA Today, Rodriguez’s tweets included a compliment to the cast, and showed an furious-faced Josh Brolin behind the wheel in what he calls the “Rodriguez-mobile” which is a “green box with a steering wheel bolted on.” Most of the two films are shot in front of a green screen and presented in black and white to give it an old-style film-noir feel.
Perez Hilton reports that the new film is slated for an Oct. 2 release.
Brolin will take the place of Dwight in the sequel, replacing Clive Owen who played the role in the first Sin City. Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson will be back in the same roles in the second edition of the graphic novel adaptation.
