Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts is set to make her triumphant return to work following her battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, or MDS, for which she received a bone marrow transplant.
Following her diagnosis, Roberts went on medical leave from GMA, summer 2012.
Cinema Blend reports that, on Thursday, George Stephanopoulos announced that Roberts would return February 20.
Along with Stephanopoulos’s announcement, he informed that many celebs were looking forward to her return as well, including the likes of Silver Linings Playbook costars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper as well as Jennifer Lopez, who all sent their well-wishes.
Roberts has been back on the set of GMA to endure “dry runs” where her doctors could see how the lights, makeup and workload affect her.
Roberts will not be back in full-force as she will only be offered a “limited schedule.” She has since surpassed the 100 day mark since her surgery.
