Rupert Grint set to star in new CBS pilot

'Harry Potter' star Rupert Grint makes his TV debut

Rupert Grint has just been granted a role in a CBS pilot titled Super Clyde.

The show is being produced by Raising Hope producer Greg Garcia, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rupert will be playing the title role, Clyde, a young boy who feels as though nothing ever goes his way and that he never fits in. Clyde is a lover of all things comic books and reads them religiously; he himself wishes he was a superhero.

Clyde gets his wish when he receives a large monthly inheritance from a dead relative and decides to use the money to help people out, solely for good reasons.

This is the second pilot that Garcia is producing and writing for CBS; the other is unnamed.

According to MTV.com, this is Grint’s first time being a regular on a television series but it is not his first time on the screen since the last Harry Potter film.

Grint can be seen next on the big screen in Into the White, a World War II drama which debuts on April 12.
