On Thursday, Rush Limbaugh said that for the first time in his life he was ashamed of the United States in reference to the pending sequestration.
The Inquisitr claims Limbaugh does not believe President Obama’s reasons for not cutting back on federal spending which is that it would be detrimental to the country. It would cause problems seen everywhere such as an insufficient number of meat inspections and longer lines at airports.
According to the Politico, Limbaugh said he was ashamed because he felt that President Obama’s claims were insulting America’s intelligence.
He claims that the arguments for and against the sequestration are all the same and that President Obama is merely using his reasons to create fear to get what he wants.
“I’ve said the same things over and over for 25 years. It’s the same stuff, it’s the same threats, it’s the same arguments, over and over nothing ever changes,” Limbaugh says.
“We just keep spending more money, we create more dependency, we get more and more irresponsible one crisis to the next, all of them manufactured. Except for the real crisis that nobody ever addresses and that is we can’t afford it.”
