The much anticipated return of the comedy Arrested Development is going to see some comedy veteran guest stars.
US Magazine reports that funny people Seth Rogen and Kristen Wiig are just two of the big names that will guest star in the series' return. The roles of the two have not been released.
The long wait for the fourth season of Development debuts in May on Netflix. The comedy first debuted in 2003 on Fox but, was shockingly kicked to the side in 2006 after three seasons on the air.
Development creator, Mitch Hurwitz, is excited for the show's return and expressed that at a TCA press conference on Jan. 9. He wants to keep the plot and many of the new season details under wraps so the fans have something to be excited about also.
"We hold back information about the plot because we want to reward the fans for sticking with us, and that's so much fun,” Hurwitz said. “That's the funnest part of it."
The new season will revolve around a different character in each episode, and start off with Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman). Every episode of the fourth season will debut at the same time in May.
Don’t worry die hard Development fans because a follow up movie is also still in the works as well.
"This is the first act of what we would like to complete in a movie," Hurwitz said. ”These are episodes that set that up. One does not work without the other."
Other notable guest stars that have been confirmed are Terry Cruz, Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter, Isla Fisher and John Slattery.
