Despite rumors of her returning to the UK’s X Factor, Sharon Osbourne is now sought after to judge the same show in Australia.
In December, the Mirror reported that current judge and British singer Tulisa Contostalvos was struggling with people’s perceptions of her on the UK’s version of The X Factor and wanted to quit to pursue her music.
This left room for Sharon Osbourne to come back to her position as judge, and she was seriously considering the offer.
“She is really up for it. She had a long meeting with them and she has decided that she would love to come back,” a source close to the negotiations revealed.
This week, Sharon’s name is once again being thrown around for The X Factor, but this time it’s for Australia.
According to Daily Mail, Simon Cowell is reaching out to Osbourne to replace Spice Girl Melanie Brown on Australia’s X Factor as Brown moves to take over Osbourne’s spot on America’s Got Talent.
“Simon knows that Sharon can be TV dynamite, and while the UK doesn't look like it will happen, Simon is set on the idea of Sharon going to Australia - she's part of his gang,” a source told Daily Mail.
Sharon quit America’s Got Talent in July when NBC executives fired her son Jack from the show Stars Earn Stripes after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
“I just can’t be fake. It’s discrimination and it was badly handled,” Osbourne commented on NBC’s behavior which motivated her split.
