Sofia Vergara dispels surgery rumors with Instagram post, misses Oscars due to flu

Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara was plagued by the unfortunate flu that is going around, halting her ability to attend the prestigious Academy Awards Sunday. Her absence sparked rumors to surface that the voluptuous beauty was undergoing surgery. Vergara was quick to take to Twitter to put those rumors to bed.

According to the Huffington Post, reports from Daily Mail stated that Vergara was awaiting surgery.

The circumstances for Vergara’s alleged surgery were unclear, but said surgery was certainly not a life-or-death matter as a source reportedly told the site that, “Sofia is fine and there is nothing to worry about.”

However, Vergara was not in the ER, instead she was enjoying the Oscars in bed with the flu.

The Columbian born beauty posted a shot of her in bed on Instagram with the caption, “Watching the Oscars at home ;) so I dont give everyone the flu haha!”

Despite being sick with the flu, Vergara still managed to be just as beautiful as ever.
