Soulja Boy won $200,000 from Super Bowl bet

By Sarah McClanahan,

Rapper Soulja Boy bet on the Baltimore Ravens to win the Super Bowl, and left with a lofty sum of $200,000.

TMZ caught up with Soulja Boy and Sean Kingston at a gas station in Los Angeles after the Super Bowl had finished.

While the majority of the people in the car had been rooting for the San Francisco 49ers, Soulja Boy knew that the Baltimore Ravens would come out victorious.

Soulja Boy revealed that he had bet (and won!) $200,000 on the Ravens because he played on their team in the video game Madden NFL 13. Moreover, he knew linebacker Ray Lewis would do everything in his power to win because it was his last year on the field before he retired.

When asked what he was planning to use his winnings for, Soulja responded with a smile, “I might go buy a car tomorrow.”

According to GameZone, this is the eighth time in ten years that EA’s Madden NFL 13’s simulations have predicted the winner of the Super Bowl. Not only was the real game won by the same margin of victory as shown in the game, the simulation also accurately portrayed who would score touchdowns and that Raven’s Joe Flacco would be the MVP.
