People want to see Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the Toy Story gang back together so badly that the smallest rumor about a fourth film can send the Internet into pandemonium. The phrase “Toy Story 4” is even trending on Twitter.
The buzz was sparked by Spanish language media. According to Inquisitr, RCN entertainment coordinator Jorge Luis Balaguera tweeted in Spanish Tim Allen, Tom Hanks and Joan Cusack have all signed up for another Toy Story.

Then, Colombian news site Terra ran a story reporting that Disney and Pixar have already confirmed the project, noting that Toy Story 3 was such a huge success in 2011. While that part is true (the film was even nominated for the Best Picture Oscar and did win Best Animated Feature), Pixar hasn’t confirmed anything.
The Pixar News, which follows the studio’s work, recently tweeted, “Oy, Toy Story 4 is trending. As a reminder, Disney/Pixar has not announced/confirmed its existence. Still only an unsubstantiated rumor.”
Pixar’s next project is Monsters University, which opens in June.
So, do we really need another Toy Story film? Probably not, since the third film wrapped up the plot so well.
