When a family man gets his identity stolen and won't get help from the police, he goes on a mission to find the perpetrator in Identity Thief. With only a week to get his name and credit score cleared, he heads to the suburbs of Miami to confront the woman and bring her to Denver to make her pay for the crime. The one hour and fifty-one minute comedy stars Jason Bateman, Melissa McCarthy, Jon Favreau, Amanda Peet and Tip "T.I." Harris. It's rated R for sex and language.
Channing Tatum, Jude Law, Rooney Mara and Catherine Zeta-Jones star in Steven Soderbergh's psychological thriller, Side Effects. When a young woman, suffering from anxiety, is prescribed a new drug by her psychiatrist, she undergoes a terrifying reaction. The film runs for one hour and forty-five minutes. It's rated R for sex, nudity, violence and language.
The popular 1986 film, Top Gun, is available in IMAX 3D for only six days. The dramatic action film starring Tom Cruise shows the competitive world of the Navy's elite pilots surrounded by a love story between an adventurous student and a civilian teacher. The one hour and fifty minute film is rated PG.
Charlie Sheen is back on the big screen in A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III. He stars alongside Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman in the limited released comedy about a graphic designer who seems to have it all, that is, until the love of his life breaks up with him. The split causes him to fall into a depression and re-evaluate his life. The one hour and twenty-six minute limited released satire is rated R for nudity and language.
Set in Germany in 1945, Lore shows the cross country journey of five Nazi supporter children. Following the death of Hitler, their parents are taken away and they must find a way to their grandmother's house. During their trip, they gain a new perspective on their parents' beliefs and see a different side to those they were brought up to hate. The limited released drama is unrated. It runs for one hour and forty-eight minutes.
Eight-legged creatures are taking over New York City in Spiders 3D. When a Russian space station crashes into the NYC subway, large mutant spiders are unleashed, destroying everything in their path. The unrated horror film is rated PG-13. It runs in limited theaters for one hour and twenty-nine minutes.
A sick dinner party game puts people's lives at risk in Would You Rather. A young woman is convinced to take part in a sadistic game in order to help her deathly ill brother. The one hour and thirty-five minute thriller is available in limited theaters.
Mutant spiders from outer space set out to terrify moviegoers this week, but in next week's Escape from Planet Earth, the aliens are much more kid friendly. With Valentine's Day on the way, there are also some love stories hitting theaters next week.
