Despite the hype among Twi-hards, Twilight’s final installment, Breaking Dawn-Part 2 was deemed the worst movie at the Razzie Awards, taking home seven Razzies.
According to the L.A. Times, the film earned the award for worst picture, deemed Kristen Stewart the worst actress, Taylor Lautner was awarded the worst supporting actor award, worst screen ensemble, worst director, worst sequel, and finally, worst on screen couple was awarded to Mackenzie Foy and Lautner.
Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2 is the highest grossing film of the series, grossing $141 million during its opening weekend.
Telegraph reports that the film was actually nominated for 11 awards, but Robert Pattinson lost his category to Adam Sandler, who won the award for worst actor for his role in That’s My Boy.
The Razzie Awards are a longstanding tradition and are handed out to the worst-of-the-worst on the eve of The Oscars where the best-of-the-best are recognized.
Stewart, who was not present at the Razzie Awards, is slated to present at The Oscars which air Sunday evening.
