Vanessa Hudgens excited to move on to more adult roles

Vanessa Hudgens is ready to shed her High School Musical exterior and show the world her grown up side when she stars as a sexy college girl in Spring Breakers.

24-year-old Hudgens opened up to Huffington Post about the film, which hits theaters March 22.

"I’m stoked,” she confessed. “It’s a completely different movie, character, just a whole new slate for me. So, yes I’m definitely excited!"

Not only is Hudgens excited about showing a different side of her acting abilities, she was also thrilled to work alongside one of her best friends, Selena Gomez, as well as Ashley Bensen and Rachel Kornie. She gushed “It was amazing [working with them. I love those girls so much and we got to share a very special experience together."

Hudgens also costars alongside James Franco in the Harmony Korine written and directed film.

In addition to High School Musical, Hudgens has also taken on roles in Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh, The Suit Life of Zach & Cody and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
