Vanessa Lachey writes Valentine's Day letter to son Camden

Valentine’s Day may be over, but Vanessa Lachey was feeling the love.

On Thursday, she shared a page from her journal, a letter she wrote to son Camden on his first Valentine’s Day.

Lachey started the journal after her wedding and hopes her children will read it one day. The journal includes details from their engagement, wedding, first home, and how love makes them a stronger family. Lachey said she began writing letters to Camden when she found out she was pregnant, according to E! News.

People magazine shared Lachey’s message to her son.

“Cam, this Valentine’s Day you’ll be 5 months old but I feel like I’ve loved you forever," she begins. "I have wanted to be your mommy for as long as I can remember. Nothing in this world could ever compare to the way you make me and your daddy feel everyday!”

Continuing she writes, “Words don’t even begin to express how much more beautiful you make our life together. As you grow and take in this world around you, know that you are loved today and EVERYDAY all because you’re you! Sweet precious little you.”

Nick Lachey recently announced plans to reunite with his band 98 Degrees on their summer tour along with New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men, Yahoo! reports. He said Vanessa and Camden are coming along because it would be “tragic” to spend time away from his son. The couple is enjoying parenthood so far, and recently spotted Camden’s first tooth.
