Vinny Guadagnino adopts Pitbull puppy, (re)names her Tita

By Markirah Shaw,

On Sunday, Feb. 24, reality TV star Vinny Guadagnino brought home a new gal. She’s well-toned, brown-eyed and just the right shade of tan. Of course, I am referring to the pitbull puppy Guadagnino recently rescued from the North Shore Animal League America.

According to AnimalLeague.org, NSALA is the world’s largest no-kill animal shelter for dogs and cats. The shelter promotes adoptions of mixed-breed animals - instead of buying purebreds from pet stores - and is vehemently against the euthanization of unwanted pets.

The ex-Jersey Shore star tweeted his followers, asking for tips on the perfect name for his new pup. After many Shore-themed suggestions, Guadagnino announced on Twitter that he’d chosen the name Bodhi, “Inspired by her muscles and Buddhism.”

All seemed to be settling down in the Guadagnino household until a hot-off-the-presses tweet today, informing followers that he had changed his mind and renamed the Pitbull Tita, “a Hawaiian word for a tough woman.”

Regardless of her name, there’s no denying that Tita is an adorable new addition to what seems to be Guadagnino’s own personal shelter. According to WetPaint.com, the reality star already has ten other animals, four of which are also rescue dogs.
