12-year-old admits to falsely sending police to the homes of Justin Bieber and Ashton Kutcher

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

A 12-year-old prankster has admitted to sending police and emergency officials to the homes of Justin Bieber and Ashton Kutcher, a prank known as "Swatting."

E! News reports that the 12-year-old unnamed minor admitted to making false calls for emergency response to both the singer and actor's homes, in addition to a bank. The tween admitted to threatening a bomb scare as well as computer intrusion.

His punishment is yet to be determined. He was released back into his parents’ custody until the case goes to juvenile court.

The 12-year-old was arrested December 2012 and charges were filed against him on Feb. 7.

Kutcher's fake-emergency occurred back in October after officials were sent to the Two and Half Men actor's home for an alleged shooting and hostage situation inside the home. Those claims were false.

Shortly thereafter, the LAPD were sent to Bieber’s home after a call came in stating a man was outside waving a gun.

Neither Kutcher nor Bieber have commented on the incidents.
