Adele’s first Oscar win may prove to be a huge money maker.
The British songstress’ recent Academy Award win for her original song “Skyfall” which was featured in the James Bond movie of the same name, may be the ticket to more success.
Reported by The Sun, it was reported that because of the success of the song, Adele might be on the track list for the next Bond movie.
“Producers are thrilled by how well the song has been received and hope Adele’s presence on the next film will replicate that success,” a source told The Sun.
According to The Huffington Post, the producers hope that Adele will follow suit of Shirley Bassey, who is responsible for two hit Bond theme songs, “Goldfinger” and “Diamonds are Forever.”
Adele is already following in Bassey’s footsteps when she performed “Skyfall” at the Academy Awards and Bassey sang her hit “Goldfinger.”
There is no official, confirmed word from Adele or from the Bond producers but with an Academy Award under her belt, Adele will be just fine.
