Adrienne Maloof and Sean Stewart are no longer a couple

Adrienne Maloof has split from her much-younger boyfriend, Sean Stewart.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 51, and the son of Rod Stewart, 31, started dating in January of this year after Maloof split from husband Paul Nassif.

"They've decided to distance themselves and become friends. Nothing bad happened," a source told Us Weekly about the split. "They're still going to hang out as friends, they enjoy each other's company."

Maloof drew some heat for starting to date the former Celebrity Rehab star two months after she finalized her decade-long marriage. She said at the time, however, “Age is just a number. It's about how good of a person you are . . . [Sean] is a very funny guy. He's very giving, he mentors at the mission, works with at-risk children, and gives his time and money to get children off the streets."

Maloof has three kids with ex, Nassif; Gavin, 9, and twins Christian and Colin, 6,
