Ashley Benson wearing a blonde wig while shooting 'Pretty Little Liars'

Spring Breakers actress, Ashley Benson recently debuted a brand new brunette do.

“Went to the dark side,” she shared with fans on her Instagram. She shared a photo of her brand new hair color.

This week, at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie, Benson, 23, revealed that she decided to dye her hair brown because she was looking for a change.

“I was bored!" she told E! News on the red carpet at the Spring Breakers premiere. "I'm so sick of being blonde."

Benson may have been looking for a change, but she is a blonde on her hit show, Pretty Little Liars, and her character wasn’t about to get a makeover. As a result, Benson revealed she is wearing wigs while filming.

"I'm wearing a wig this season," Benson added. "I wore it [and] today was my first day on set and I got there at four in the morning. I'm so tired. I've had like two hours of sleep. But I wore a wig and it looks great. It looks real."

Although it looks real, Benson says wearing the wig is uncomfortable, so she doesn't want to wear it more than is necessary.

“[I] only [wear wigs] when I film," she added. “They’re itchy and hot.”
