They are given the opportunity to watch Sean’s televised proposal for the first time. It elicits very different reactions for Sean and Catherine. In fact, Sean remembers she was so overcome with joy that she didn’t even notice her engagement ring until he pointed it out.
Although Catherine and Sean don’t have a date set for their wedding, they reveal that the ceremony will be aired on ABC.
Sean would prefer to have his wedding at a courthouse, but understands that women want something more elaborate. Catherine agrees that the duo should get married soon. She already has her bags packed and is ready to move in with him. Harrison jokes that he is ordained, and they have just enough time to wed before the special is over. Sean shakes his head with a laugh, admitting that he wants his family present.
Finally, Chris Harrison announces that the next Bachelorette, whose journey begins this summer, will be Desiree. Grateful for the strong support she receives from the audience, she is open and ready to meet the man of her dreams.
