Basketball fan sinks half-court shot, wins $20,000 (Video)

NBA Thunder fan Heath Kufah was given the chance to shoot from half-court at Tuesday’s Thunder vs. Lakers game for the chance to win $20,000- and he made it!

Kufah, a volleyball and basketball coach at Christian Heritage Academy in Del City, Okla, became the fourth person to ever sink the shot in NBA’s Thunder history, People reports. What’s even more inspiring is the that the money couldn’t come at a better time as his wife Jenni Kufahl is battling stage three colon cancer and their medical expenses are mounting.

The incredible shot came between the third and fourth quarter when Kufal was picked out of the crowd to attempt the difficult shot, NewsOK reports.

Along with the difficulty of Jenni’s medical treatment and the expense that comes with it, the couple are parents to seven children.

Heath’s day continued to be a positive one as his team beat out the Lakers 122-105.
