Ben Affleck enjoying time with his wife and kids following awards season

Ben Affleck was one of the big winners throughout awards season this year. He won many awards including the Academy Award for Best Picture for his film, Argo.

Now that awards season is over, Affleck is enjoying his downtime. He’s spending it with his wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, who just celebrated his first birthday.

USA Today reported that at a recent charity event, he opened up about what he has been doing since his Oscar win.

"I've been able to really just enjoy my good fortune in the last couple of weeks and sit back and kind of just take it in and not do anything,” he told reporters at the 10th Annual John Varvatos Stuart House benefit, which he attended with his wife. “ [I’ve been able to] just eat ice cream on the couch."

He added, "It's been a really nice time to hang out with my wife and that sort of thing, so we're just enjoying it."

Unfortunately, Affleck won’t get to just “eat ice cream on the couch” much longer. According to Deadline, he’ll soon be promoting a new film, To the Wonder, which is set to be released on April 12.
