Beyonce is opening up a bit more about her nearly 60-pound weight loss after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
The singer, who has always been open about how hard she works to keep her slim figure, says that the combination of diet and breast feeding helped her get back to her pre-baby body. She admits, “Believe me, I'm not a naturally thin person. I have to work for it."
"Breast-feeding took care of the first 30 pounds," she told the April issue of Shape magazine. "I was amazed at how the weight just fell off of me. But I had to work very hard to lose the last 25 because I’d scheduled a show just three months after I gave birth. Let me tell you, I’ll never do that again!"
When most people work out in the gym, Beyonce said she uses her career as a workout tool.
"Some people prefer the gym, but when I have to put on workout clothes and run on a treadmill, I get bored," she said, The NY Daily News reports. "The rehearsals leading up to a tour always get me in shape, so I never have to feel like 'Oh, no, I have to get up and go to the gym!'
When she was 20 years old and working on the music video for “Crazy in Love’ with husband Jay-Z, she was the happiest with her weight. “Whenever I want to get into amazing shape, that's the body size I aim for," she said.
Beyonce, who just released a new song “Bow Down/I Been On,” also said about the possibility of more kids, "We'll see if it happens."
