Bow Wow has been ordered to pay French porn star Celine Tran for illegally using images of the woman in his music video. Tran first sued the rapper in July of 2012.
According to TMZ, Bow Wow, born Shad Gregory Moss, used video footage of Tran pole dancing in his music video for his song “Drank In My Cup.” Apparently Tran, who goes by 'Katsuni,' originally filmed the clip for the music video for the song “Conspiracy Strip Club” by French band Electronic Conspiracy. The rapper also did not ask permission from the band.
It was noted that Bow Wow never responded to the lawsuit, so he was demanded to pay the woman $80,000. E! Online reports that the 26-year-old rapper will pay “$51,900 in punitive damages and $26,790 in attorney's fees.”
The judge who was on the case also stated that Bow Wow is from now on banned to continue using the stolen footage.
The star currently hosts a music video countdown show, 106 & Park, which airs on BET.
