Modeling beauty Brooklyn Decker admits that although she loves modeling, she’d much prefer to study something a bit more “stimulating” like acting. She confessed, in a recent interview with OMG!, that she auditioned for a part in Catching Fire, the sequel to Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games.
“The traveling is wonderful and the people are wonderful, but without sounding horrible, with modeling you don’t feel as stimulated as you do when you get to really study something [like acting]. The challenges are different, so I definitely prefer it,” she explained to OMG at a Gillette-hosted event last month.
Continuing, she notes, “I auditioned for Hunger Games…Not for Katniss, but for a character in the second book that I loved.”
The 25-year-old Sports Illustrated model admits her love for the trilogy, but unfortunately she was not honored with the part. She did not reveal who she auditioned to star as, but OMG speculates it may have been Cashmere.
“I was bummed, but it is not going to stop me from seeing it on opening night,” she confessed.
Following a successful modeling career, Decker has taken on roles in Battleship, Just Go With It and What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
