Celebrities Support Kids at Charity Event

Sitcom actors attend Hooray for Hollygrove

Neil Patrick Harris and his fiancee David Burtka took the night off from taking care of their kids to support kids in need.

The Hooray for Hollygrove charity gala is an annual event that raises money for underprivileged kids in hopes of helping them "create positive memories." The star couple hosted the event, and spoke about how close the charity is to them.

eonline.com quoted Burtka listing off some serious statistics, "In L.A. County alone, almost 900,000 kids are in poverty right now. It's a really important event to be a part of right now".

Cougar Town star Busy Phillips was also in attendance. The star spoke of her notable best friend Michelle Williams, and how the academy award nominee wanted to make a guest appearance on her friend's show. "At the beginning of the show, in the first season, I told him [co-creator Bill Lawrence], ‘My friend Michelle Williams wants to guest star on the show.’...and they never did anything with it!", cites justjared.com.

If she had it her way, Phillips would have her bestie play "my bookish sister who hates me." How exciting would it be to see Michelle Williams on the TV screen again!?
