In an announcement sure to shock the public and fans alike, Anger Management actor Charlie Sheen wants to mentor troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.
Contact Music reports that Sheen hopes to sit down with the Liz & Dick actress to discuss her problems, which he feels are similar to what he went through years ago.
Sheen, who went through his own downward spiral following his firing from Two and a Half Men, tells TMZ, “I have a kinship with somebody [Lohan] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not. She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."
Continuing, he notes, "If she listens, she'll win. If she doesn't, that's on her."
Sheen and Lohan’s friendship has made headlines before. Sheen recently tried to help his 26-year-old Scary Movie 5 costar by sending her a $100,000 check to help with her IRS debt. Despite Sheen’s regular motive, the actor explains that their friendship is strictly platonic.
He quips, "I love her, I respect her, and I've never laid a finger on her that wasn't on film. How ya like me now, America?"
