'Chelsea Lately' co-host Chuy Bravo out of 'Splash' competition, replacement chosen

Chelsea Lately’s pint sized co-host Chuy Bravo has been forced to leave the Splash competition after fracturing his foot.

According to TMZ, Bravo fractured his foot before the first competition could even kick off. The Latino comedian and sidekick to comedian Chelsea Handler jumped up on a table in celebration and fell through the table, fracturing his heel bone.

Handler addressed the fall on her E! talk show Tuesday evening.

TMZ notes that Chuy did not know how to swim prior to the competition and learned to both swim and jump off the diving board by celebrity diving coach Greg Louganis.

Chuy tweeted about his injury and his return to the E! set writing, “I broke my heel bone but I'm back bitches! See you on @ChelseaLately tonight!”

He has since been replaced by soccer star Brandi Chastain, known for taking off her shirt and exposing her sports bra following the 1999 World Cup win.
