The CW network announced Thursday that they will be cancelling their teen drama sitcom 90210 after five seasons.

E! News reports that the series finale will be at the conclusion of this season. The show will air May 13. Network president Mark Pedowitz commended the cast in a statement, according to the report.

The news comes the same week of reports that Michael Jackson’s son Prince will make his acting debut as a guest star in the season--and now series finale, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The description of his character seems to indicate he will be a major part of capping off the series.

90210 made it’s return in 2008 as a re-make of the wildly popular Beverly Hills, 90210 series that ran for most of the 90s. The original series aired for 10 seasons on Fox until 2000. Both series took place in the drama-ridden upscale West Beverly Hills High School.

Also set for an appearance in the final season is the newly-reunited Fall Out Boy, who will perform a new single during an April episode, according to Daily Mail.
