While numerous reports of shows being cancelled are continuing to surface, one of television’s most hilarious shows is being revived. The CW has officially announced that they will bring back the hilarious 1990s improv series Whose Line Is It Anyway.
According to TheWrap, Aisha Tyler has signed on to host the show, a post Drew Carey previously held.
Original cast Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie are slated to return to the show as comedians. A fourth comedian will join the show each week.
Whose Line will premiere on the summer schedule of The CW.
Monsters and Critics revealed the official press release, which describes the show in detail. Fans of the show from 1998 will notice that the premise remains the same, with the only change being the host. Tyler will come up with random ideas for the comedians to work with, with additional help from the audience.
Thus far there is no premiere date scheduled.
