‘Dallas’ episode recap: ‘Ewings Unite'

We open on Bobby and Christopher working on JR’s plan in his old bedroom and they figure it has something to do with Barnes Global. Their mother had divided the company among Cliff, Pam and Katherine. Katherine was dead, but if Pam was alive she could be a partner. Christopher vows to find his mother if she’s still alive. Then, Bobby and Christopher leave for reading of JR’s will while John Ross is detained by Emma for a quickie.

Shoot to John Ross arriving late to the will reading at Ewing. JR left his heart to Sue Ellen - and half the rights to the oil under Southfork, the other half to John Ross. There was also letter from Miss Ellie to be opened after JR’s death. She hoped Bobby would understand and gave half the title of Southfork to John Ross.

Shoot to Cliff regaling Ryland with tales of his hatred for the Ewings and telling him that he wants to team up to take them down. Cliff offers Ryland access to the governor and all the money he needs to take control of his company back from his mother. Ryland said he was in.

Shoot to Christopher meets Alison Jones for dinner and wine. He was ready to sign the contract, but she told him that Barnes Global made a bid that undercut his price. She added that had convinced them to see Christopher's rig and suggested that she wanted something sexual in return. Christopher doesn’t bite and she gives him one week to get the rig in order or the deal goes to Barnes Global.

Shoot to Bobby calling Christopher and John Ross into his office and telling them they’re turning back on the oil at Southfork to get cash to battle Barnes. He adds that he doesn’t like that Ellie gave John Ross half of Southfork but there was nothing he can do about it. He then said they had to stick together to beat Cliff. John Ross had an idea to make Alison see things their way.

Shoot to Ryland meeting Cliff's man who was setting up a disaster on the Ewing rig. Ryland also wanted him to keep an eye on Emma because he was wary of the attention Drew was paying her. Ryland reminds Cliff’s man that he (Ryland) was behind Drew’s smuggling and that he doesn’t want Drew to know.

Shoot to Drew meeting with Bobby in his office and talking about his father’s dream of having a Ramos fleet. He then asked Bobby to sell him back his father’s land. Elena came in and promised to take full responsibility. Bobby shook Drew’s hand and sold him back the land. Drew was ecstatic.

Shoot to Pamela meeting John Ross and Christopher at work with a tip on some cheap oil leases. They made a dig about her father taking them from under them. Then, they told her about Barnes Global’s offer, but she said she had nothing to do with it. They don’t believe her though she seemed sincere.

Shoot to John Ross meeting Alison in her office. She told him that she was busy but when he turned on the charm she warmed up. They traded steamy marathon-themed double entendres. He told her that he thought she would be a great senator and had many oil friends who would finance her campaign. If she sided with Ewing he could make it all happen. She said that she was almost convinced and then they had sex.

Shoot to Judith joining Ryland in his office with a theory about why he was so ugly to her. She theorized that he was upset about losing Emma and lashed out. He replied that he wasn’t sorry for the things he said and wouldn’t apologize. She promised him that he would.

Shoot to Gary stopping by Sue Ellen’s office saying he was concerned about her drinking. She brushed it off but when he pushed she admitted that she was just being nice to him to get the oil back on. He replied that he cared about her too much to let her throw her life away, but left. Sue Ellen then left a message for Gary’s ex Val and told her to come to Dallas and get Gary. She then poured herself a drink and looked at a picture of her and JR.

Shoot to Alison and John Ross making out on her balcony while Bum took incriminating pictures. Then, he called Christopher with a message from John Ross, “Welcome to the dark side.”

Shoot to John Ross meeting Pamela under a bridge. She told him that Alison flipped because Cliff promised to finance her political career. He replied that he knew that, but now he knew she wasn’t in on Cliff’s plan. Then, he apologized for how things had been between them and asked her to come by the rig from the demo so they could talk.

Shoot to Southfork. Emma asked Drew out for a date so they hopped on his bike and went to have lunch in a park. They got to know each other while Ryland’s spy took note. Later, Ryland wanted Drew on the rig bomb job.

Shoot to Bobby being pleasantly surprised to find Lucy and Val in his office, but Gary wasn’t so pleased. Then, Bobby and Lucy left them alone.

Shoot to Val slamming Sue Ellen’s office door and declaring her to be the “bitch you always were.” Val said she wasn’t buying Sue Ellen’s “wounded bird act” and refused to leave Southfork until she showed Gary what a manipulative monster Sue Ellen was.

Shoot to Ryland’s man approaching Drew at the bar and telling him that they needed him on another job. Drew refused but Ryland’s man told him it was the last one and it was payback for getting caught. He told Drew that they wanted him to plant a bomb on Christopher’s rig. Drew refused and Ryland’s man threatened to kill Elena if Drew didn’t do it.

Shoot to Christopher meeting Alison in her office with the pictures of her with John Ross. He threatened to expose them unless she killed the Barnes Global deal and stayed out if his way.

Shoot to Drew, at home making the bomb. Later, he planted it on the rig.

Shoot to Elena being appalled at what Christopher had done. He told her that he wasn’t going to apologize for winning. She replied that wouldn’t be a part of this and was going into business with Drew.

Shoot to Sue Ellen meeting Gary at Southfork and she assured him that she was only trying to get him and Val back together. She added that she didn’t want him to regret not spending all his time with her. He offered her anything, whenever she needed.

Shoot to Judith telling Ryland that she was going to London, freezing all his bank accounts and removing him as head of Ryland Transport. They fought at the top of the stairs and she fell all the way down.

Shoot to Christopher showing the crew around the rig with Bobby, Elena, John Ross and Pamela while Ryland’s guy watched on a screen. When he saw Pamela on the rig he called Cliff. Cliff told him to just do it. On the rig Christopher got the deal and then, the bomb went off.
