Actor Dennis Quaid bought a luxurious house for future ex-wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid and their twins.
The legal documents, obtained by TMZ, state that the Movie 43 actor bought a Pacific Palisades house last month for $3.1 million from TV personality John Nogawski, and listed both his and Kimberly's names as the owners.
According to the documents, Kimberly, a Texas real-estate agent, and their 5-year-old twins are allowed to stay in the property exclusively, until their children, Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone Quaid turn 18. It also says that Kimberly will be allowed to stay in the swanky house even longer.
Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Bill Cosby will reportedly be Kimberly's neighbors.
Kimberly Buffington-Quaid filed for legal separation back in October 2012, after eight years of marriage, US Weekly reported.
She actually filed for a divorce in March 2012, but withdrew the petition in May, but later, she wanted to be completely out of the marriage.
An insider linked to the pair said that the main reason Kimberly did it was because Dennis was not a good husband.
She asked for spousal support, legal fees, and sole physical custody of the children. Dennis, on the other hand, fought back, saying that he wanted a joint legal and physical custody of the twins, and offered spousal support.
The house is part of the spousal support.
