Duchess of Cambridge notes she is hoping for a boy while Prince William is hoping for a girl

While numerous reports have surfaced stating that the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are expecting a daughter this summer, the royals admit the two differ on whether they want a son or a daughter.

People reports that, during the St. Patrick’s Day parade, the pregnant Duchess revealed that she wants a son while her husband is hoping for a daughter. Additionally, she revealed that she and her husband have not decided on a name for their unborn child yet.

The Duchess spoke with guardsman Lee Wheeler. He recalled, "I asked her, 'Do you know if it's a girl or a boy?' and she said not. She said, 'I'd like to have a boy and William would like a girl.' I asked her if she had any names and she said no.”

Many reports surfaced earlier this month stating that the Duchess stumbled on her words, potentially revealing that she is having a baby girl.

Prince William and the Duchess will welcome their first royal child in July.
