Dunkin' Donuts worker keeps robber away by throwing hot coffee at him

A Dunkin’ Donuts employee in West Haven, Connecticut fought off a robber by throwing hot coffee at him.

Gawker.com identified the employee as Angelica who was working the drive thru window when a man in a truck pulled up and asked for to change a one hundred dollar bill. After Angelica told the man no, he told her that she was being robbed and tried climbing out of his truck and into the drive thru window.

“He tried to get out of his car. That’s when I realized he was serious,” Angelica told NBC Connecticut, reported Yahoo News, “I tried to close the window. He put his arm in it. He knew not to touch, because he knew there would be fingerprints.”

Angelica looked around desperately trying to find something to defend herself. She saw the hot pot of coffee and threw it at the intruder forcing him to run back into his truck.

He drove off in an older model Ford Explorer.
