Ed Asner has been released from the hospital after appearing disoriented 15 minutes into performing his one man show FDR in Gary, Indiana.
The 83-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital Tuesday night. At the time, his son said that the hospital stint was not due to a stroke, but rather exhaustion.
According to Reuters, Asner was released from the hospital and ordered by doctors to get some rest. Charles Sherman, a publicist for the actor said, “That's what the doctors surmised, it's exhaustion. Ed will resume performing 'FDR' in mid-April, but, of course, we'll have to see how his health is."
Thus far, performances between now and April have been canceled.
Asner, who is most remembered for his role on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, took to Twitter to make light of his recent hospital stay writing, “Reports of my imminent demise are greatly exaggerated. They tell me I am suffering from exhaustion. Thanks for the good wishes!”
