Ed Sheeran admits Taylor Swift dating rumors made him feel like a 'stud'

British singer Ed Sheeran admits he was flattered when Taylor Swift romance rumors started to surface.

In a recent interview with TVNZ, a New Zealand-based broadcast, Sheeran says that rumors came out that he and Swift were dating when they were seen spending time together in a London hotel.

"I did stay there 'til four and I did leave in the same clothes," he said. "But I was playing her my new record. It was strictly that kind of thing, literally, I went in there and we passed the guitar back and forth and played songs to each other."

He added, "The thing that impressed me with the media is that because they wrote about it, my mates believed it. And my mates are texting me being like, 'Is it true?"

Sheeran and Swift collaborated on the song “Everything Has Changed,” which appears on Swift’s newest album Red. He has since joined her on tour as the opening act.

"So I said it wasn't but the fact that people can believe it makes me feel like a bit of a stud, you know?" the “A Team” singer admits, The New York Daily News reports.

Sheeran also said “the fact that people believed it impressed me a little bit,” saying “one of my best friends did date her," referring to Harry Styles.
