Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the talk show co-host who gained fame in 2001 from Survivor: The Australian Outback, is reportedly leaving her spot on The View.
According to US Weekly, Hasselbeck, 35, will not be returning for another season on the ABC daytime show.
The mother of three has stirred up many controversial issues in her time on The View with her staunchly conservative views. In 2007, Hasselbeck had an on-air verbal fight with then-host Rosie O’Donnell about troops in Iraq.
Hasselbeck joined The View in 2003. According to US Weekly, she was too extreme right for viewers. She has not yet commented on her alleged dismissal.
According to Huffington Post, the show has maintained its ratings steadily since Hasselbeck joined in 2003.
Hasselbeck will be joined with 70-year-old Joy Behar, who recently announced on ABC’s Good Morning America she will be leaving the show. Behar has been with the show since it launched in 1997.
Although The View has famously switched around its hosts, it has held onto the same cast since 2007 when Rosie O’Donnell and Star Jones left and Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd joins.
