Fergie depending on acupuncture and Chinese herbs while pregnant

By Gina DiFalco,

Black Eyed Peas’ frontwoman Fergie is using acupuncture to help her get through her first-time pregnancy.

Fergie, 37, married to actor Josh Duhamel, appeared on Good Morning America on Thursday, where she opened up about expecting her first child.

"I've been doing acupuncture, which really helps with that [morning sickness], and Chinese herbs," she explained, CBS News reports.

She continued to say she and her husband are “thrilled.” She explained what happened when she first found out, saying, "I know that my husband told everybody what I said -- my quote when we found out, 'This [blank] just got real. It's true, when that moment occurs to you that, yeah, there's going to be a human being growing inside of you. It's reality. It's amazing."

But the singer, who also has her own solo career, says while she is taking a bit of a break from working, she is still writing music.

“It always is so spastic, my writing," she said. "I could have one thought and it be so weird and have nothing to do with anything that's going on in my life.”

ABC News reports that last month, Fergie confirmed on Twitter she was pregnant after debuting a fuller figure on the red carpet.

“Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump,” she wrote on Feb. 18.
