Fox announced Monday to bring back four of its shows for new seasons.
E! News reports that Fox is bringing first year shows The Following and The Mindy Project along with New Girl and Raising Hope for next season.
"These shows are creatively vibrant,” said network President Kevin Rilley. “They have established a loyal and passionate audience and they will continue to define and grow the Fox comedy brand next season and beyond."
The Following stars Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy and has been the No.2 drama since its premiere in January. 11.7 million viewers on average tune in each week.
"From the very beginning, we felt Kevin Williamson and Marcos Siega had created a high quality, edge-of-your-seat drama that could break from the pack, and it is exciting to see the audience responding," Reilly said. "Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy have given us two of the most compelling characters on television and the entire cast is incredible.”
The Tuesday night comedy lineup returns for Fox as well, reports The Los Angeles Time. New Girl, which stars Zooey Deschanel, will be entering its third season. It is also the networks highest rated comedy series.
Raising Hope is coming back for a fourth season and stars Lucas Neff and Martha Plimpton.
The soon to be sophomore The Mindy Project, stars Mindy Kaling, saw a ratings hike and was strong enough to come back for another season.
Long running hit, Glee, is still in negotiations for its fifth season.
