French actor Omar Sy, who starred in the international hit The Intouchables, is the latest to join X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Like most casting news for the film, this one came directly from director Bryan Singer. On Saturday, he shared the news by writing, “Thrilled to welcome the brilliant #OmarSyfrom the amazing film #TheIntouchables to the cast of #Xmen #DaysofFuturePast!”

Sy co-starred in The Intouchables, which was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film. The film was a huge critical success, especially in France. However, the film was surprisingly not nominated for an Oscar.
He is just the latest actor to join the cast, which will include returning First Class stars Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Several X-Men stars will also be returning, including Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman. Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) has also joined the film.
Days of Future Past hits theaters on July 18, 2014.
