'Girl Meets World' Shooting Begins!

The much anticipated show Girl Meets World began shooting today, and the set was filled with the show's veterans and newbies!

The new Disney show will feature Cory and Topanga all grown up, and will focus on their pre-teen daughter, Riley, played by Rowan Blanchard. Sabrina Carpenter will play Maya, the new "Shawn" of the show.

The actresses tweeted their excitement, as well as pics of those who stopped by to visit. Among those who were on set to give their blessings were Maitland Ward Baxter, Will Friedle, Rider Strong and William Daniels, previously known as Rachel, Eric, Shawn and Mr. Feeny, respectively.

It is unknown whether or not the famous visitors will make guest, or reoccurring, appearances on the show. According to Fox News, Strong released a statement explaining, "At this point, I have no official involvement. There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years. But Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, its own show."

Here's hoping we get to hear the Feeny call just one more time!

However, when Boy and Girl creator Michael Jacobs spoke to Popwatch last month, he stated in regards to seeing our favorite characters again, "I think there’s more than a chance. I think there’s a strong chance.”
