Happy birthday, Ali Larter!

Ali Larter turns 37 today!

Born in Cherry Hill, NJ, Alison Elizabeth Larter began her career by modeling at the rather young age of 14.

She reportedly skipped a lot of time in her senior year because she was signed to NY's Ford Modelling Agency, and modeled in various countries, such as Italy, Japan, and Australia.

Larter met fellow model and actress Amy Smart, whom she instantly became friends with. The pair were then signed to a modeling job in L.A. and there, they took acting class together.

The actress, who was ranked No. 40 in the 102 sexiest women by Maxim, then debuted her appearance on-screen by acting in several TV series, such as Suddenly Susan, Dawson's Creek, Just Shoot Me!, and Chicago Hope.

Larter then acted in numerous movies, Varsity Blues, where she reunited with Dawson's Creek's co-star Van Der Beek and friend Amy Smart, American Outlaws, A Lot Like Love, and teenage horror/thriller movie Final Destination and its sequel.

Despite her acting career, Larter got internationally recognized through her role as Niki Sanders, and Tracy Strauss in NBC's Heroes. Her performance there was critically acclaimed.

After a ground-breaking performance in Heroes, Larter starred in Marigold, a movie that, according to her, helped overcome her stage fright in singing and dancing.

Larter then starred in Resident Evil: Extinction, and its sequel, co-starring Milla Jovovich, Home Erectus, and Obsessed with Beyoncé.
