Heidi Klum joins 'America's Got Talent' as fourth judge

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Heidi Klum is slated to join the America’s Got Talent team as the fourth judge on the hit NBC talent search.

Sources close to the network confirmed the news to TMZ, stating that Klum signed on for the season just hours before the first audition was slated for taping. Klum got on a plane for New Orleans Sunday where the first round of auditions are taking place.

The former Victoria Secret supermodel and ‘Project Runway’ host will join the likes of Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and Mel B, who recently took over after AGT alum Sharon Osbourne opted not to return as judge.

TMZ obtained a photograph of the set, which shows Heidi’s name under her own ‘X’, effectively securing her official judging position.

Neither NBC nor Klum herself has officially confirmed her addition to the AGT cast of characters, but according to E! News, Klum has given hints to a new project in the making, tweeting, "Going on a journey."
