'Hot in Cleveland' renewed for a fifth season

The successful TV Land comedy which stars Betty White is sticking around

TV Land has decided to renew their comedy Hot in Cleveland for a fifth season consisting of 24 episodes.

The Hollywood Reporter shares that TV Land President Larry W. Jones stated, “This is an incredible milestone for the show and for TV Land. To have our first scripted sitcom make it to the syndication level is a huge accomplishment.”

The site also reported that the show will hit the incredible landmark of 100 episodes at some point in the fifth season.

Stars Valerie Bertinelli, Wendle Malicl, Janes Leeves, and Betty White will all return for the upcoming season.

Jones added, “We have a brilliant creative team both in front of and behind the camera. We are so proud to be on this exciting ride with them.”

The show is the network's first original sitcom, and has been a huge success ever since its summer 2010 premiere.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show will start filming its fifth season sometime this fall. New episodes of Hot in Cleveland will start airing on June 19, which will actually be a live episode.
