‘Hunger Games’ Capitol Couture website re-launched

By Sarah McClanahan,

Lionsgate began promotions for the sequel to the Hunger Games trilogy with a first look at fashion tips inspired by The Capitol.

Created in January of last year, Capitol Couture is an official Hunger Games blog that divulges style tips for men and women alike, reports PopWatch.

Right now, the only portrait available for viewers is that of Effie Trinket, played by actress Elizabeth Banks.

The description of her outfit reads: “Head to heel in couture, Effie enchants in an exploding silhouette of chiffon and organza blooms. Never one to waver in her fashionable footwear, her heel-less boots are shod with a golden horse-shoe platform.”

According to the countdown, the next picture will be revealed in 16 hours.

Style advice is not the by-product of the widely-acclaimed The Hunger Games, which grossed over $686 million globally. In 2011, The Unofficial Hunger Games Cookbook was published, confirms Entertainment Weekly. The recipes, each explaining the food’s origins, are based on scenes and characters from the movie. They include sweet potato rolls, cinnamon bread, and even Gale’s kiss! Some are reserved for those with strong stomachs: wild squirrel and gumbo sausage, and wild raccoon sautéed in bacon drippings.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will come to theatres on November 22, 2013.
