James Franco receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

James Franco was the 2,492nd star to received his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was given to him by Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, Ana Martinez, confirmed the event, saying that it was an honor to present Franco as one of the actors on Walk of Fame, noted Walk of Fame's website.

"Fans from all over the world have been waiting for James to be honored with this great accolade,” she said.

Franco was introduced by his Pineapple Express co-star Seth Rogen, Oz the Great and Powerful director Sam Raimi and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Leron Gubler, before he took the stage to give his thank you speech.

After thanking the organization, the Spider-Man actor admitted that having this type of recognition was a huge honor for him and something that he did not expect.

"It's a weird experience but it's a good one," Franco said.

He then thanked the Walk Of Fame for the great spot he received, right in front of a Hollywood Boulevard theater.

Her mother Betsy, and her actor younger brother, Dave Franco, were in the audience, E! News reported.

During the ceremony, Franco posted a funny photograph on his WhoSay account.
