Jamie Lynn Spears engaged

Jamie Lynn Spears, the little sister of music star Britney Spears, announced her engagement Sunday.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Jamie, 21, announced on Instagram that her boyfriend Jamie Watson, 30, proposed.

"Guesssss what??????" she wrote on the site with a picture of herself, with Watson, wearing a new ring.

The couple has been dating for three years. According to the New York Post, Watson said in January that he was considering marriage.

Jamie has a four-year-old child, Maddie, with her former fiancé Casey Aldridge. They split shortly after Maddie’s birth in 2010.

"So excited and happy for my sister, congrats @jamielynnspears — love you," Britney tweeted Monday morning.

The elder Spears split from Jason Trawick in January after they had been engaged for a year.

The Huffington Post reported that she was seen with her latest beau, David Lucado, on Valentine’s Day.

According to E!, Lucado hails from the South like Spears and is currently living in Los Angeles. He is reportedly not in show business.
