Romantic-comedy actress Jennifer Aniston is in the midst of planning her own real-life love story, plans that now include changing her last name to Theroux.
Yes, wedding preparations are well under way for Aniston, 44, and her screenwriter-actor fiancé Justin Theroux, 41. Two days ago People Magazine reported that Aniston had the wedding bands, a wedding date and a wedding dress all picked out.
However, AOL.com reported that Aniston will be taking her soon-to-be husband’s last name following their nuptials, which are set to occur some time after filming wraps up on the currently-untitled Elmore Leonard project. Aniston joked that Theroux “sounds more posh.”
But will the credits in future films read “Jennifer Theroux” or will she remain Jennifer Aniston in her professional life? After all, she didn’t take Brad Pitt’s name when they were married from 2000 to 2005.
In a 2011 interview with Parade Magazine Pitt made some disparaging comments about his marriage to Aniston and some may worry that another listless marriage is on the horizon for the perennial bachelorette. But an insider source told People, “Jen seems more confident than ever and they [Aniston and Theroux] have become a great team.”
Aniston and Theroux have been together since May 2011 and Theroux proposed on his own birthday last August.
