Jennifer Aniston's ex Tate Donovan on Justin Theroux: 'He's a great guy'

Jennifer Aniston's former flame Tate Donovan appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday and revealed that he approves of her new fiance, Justin Theroux.

Aniston and Donovan dated for three years back in the '90s, and Donovan even played Aniston's love interest on Friends at the time. Both of them went on to marry other people, Aniston famously marrying Brad Pitt and Donovan marrying a writer named Corinne Kingsbury, both of which ended in divorce.

Donovan now says of 41-year old Theroux, "He's a great guy, a really good guy. Super smart," and called the two a "good couple," reports US Weekly.

Donovan and Theroux have apparently known each other for years, both previously a part of the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts.

Donovan also told US Weekly in January, "I am very happy for her. I hope it lasts and that they have a great time. And I'm sure they will. They seem like a very happy couple."

Aniston recently revealed that she plans to take Theroux's last name as her own upon their marriage, joking that it "sounds more posh."
