Justin Timberlake’s album, The 20/20 Experience, is selling fast – so fast that it might sell 1 million copies in just its first week of being released.
We’ll soon know for certain just how many copies Timberlake sold, as the Billboard charts – which tracks music sales Monday-Sunday - will be revealed on Wednesday.
The album is projected to have sold at least 950,000 copies, with a real possibility that the album could reach 1 million.
If it does, Timberlake’s album will be only the 19th album to reach that number in one week since music sales started being tracked in 1991. The last album to do so was Taylor Swift’s Red, which was released last year.
The last male music artist to have such success is Lil Wayne, whose Tha Carter IV sold 964,000 copies in 2011.
Timberlake also revealed that the new album, which is his first album in seven years, is the first part of a two-part album. The Versed reports that the second part will feature 10 more songs and will be out in November.
