Jersey Shore’s Jennifer “JWoww” Farley was granted a recurring guest star role on the web series One Life to Live.
According to TV Guide, JWoww will play a newly-hired bartender named Nikki who can “mix an Alabama Slammer as well as she can flirt with the customers.”
JWoww announced her latest TV role on Twitter. She posted a photo of herself flipping through a script and tweeted: “Heading out to the set of one hot new show! Can you guess where I’ll be making an appearance this week?”
One Life to Live is not a new series. It was a daytime TV staple, airing on ABC for 43 years. The show introduced to audiences some now-famous TV actors, including Castle’s Nathan Fillion and Nashville’s Hayden Panettiere.
Over the past year, the show went on a roller coaster ride by the network. In 2012, ABC announced that the beloved soap opera was cancelled due to high production costs.
But just a year later, ABC News reported that One Life to Live was reformatted to play as 30-minute webisodes on Hulu.com starting April 29.
JWoww’s guest appearance received mixed reviews. A photo was recently uploaded to the show’s Facebook page that shows the reality TV star on set with actor Josh Kelly.
One person commented: “This is NOT what we fought to being [sic] OLTL back for. BAD MOVE!!” while another responded “she could be good, we don’t know. give her a chance.”
JWoww’s other reality TV credit is a Shore spinoff called Snooki & JWoww. Her most recent acting gig was a cameo in the 2012 slapstick comedy The Three Stooges.
